For optimal effects, consume the Liberty Caps on an empty stomach. You can chew and then swallow the mushrooms. The longer you chew, the more efficiently the body absorbs psychoactive substances. Unfortunately, the flavour is not great.

For this reason, you may also choose to make mushroom tea. They need to be cut up into little pieces and soaked in hot water. It’s important to avoid letting the water boil because doing so will vaporise the psilocybin. You can set the teapot on a hot plate to allow the tea to steep as gradually as possible. Including the mushroom pieces, finish the full cup of tea.

The mushroom tea will taste better if you add some lemon juice.
