Travel + Leisure Editorial Guidelines Published on October 23, 2024 07:00AM EDT Comments Photo: Travel + Leisure / Reese Herrington Last month, I traveled to Norway on a 10-day excursion from the city of Oslo to the village of Ballstad in a bid to see the Northern Lights. While I may not have succeeded in catching sight of the stunning light display (we missed them by mere minutes), what was a hit was the carefully curated international travel wardrobe I’d packed. As a carry-on-only traveler, I was able to squeeze more than a week's-worth of clothes into my trusty suitcase and backpack combo — and much of it was from Vuori. Since discovering the brand last year, I haven’t been able to get enough of its buttery-soft, cloud-like fabrics, and after looking at the site while planning a restock, I noticed that much of what I packed is now on sale. So, read on to discover the Vuori pieces I wore in Norway while hiking, sightseeing, flying, and beyond. Plus, check out the sale items I’ll be adding to my cart ahead of my next vacation. Prices start as low as $38; and best of all, discounts even extend up to 50 percent off. Everlane’s New Collection Is a Dream for Fall Travel — The 10 Best Pieces, According to a Shopping Writer Vuori Stripe Daily Legging Vuori $89 $71 at Vuoriclothing.com The moment I slipped into these silky smooth pants, I knew exactly why they were dubbed the “Daily Legging” — I never wanted to take them off. I wore these leggings on a hike, run, and while sightseeing around the city of Oslo (yes, we had laundry), and they were everything I wanted and more. The snug fit was incredibly flattering, so I felt confident and cool, and the adjustable waistband ensured they didn’t slip down while I was on the go. Best of all, they’re now on sale for nearly $20 off right now, so I’m eyeing one of the other six available colors. Evolve Square Neck Bra Vuori $64 $38 at Vuoriclothing.com This square-neck sports bra became an instant favorite of mine after I added it to my collection earlier this year, so naturally it made it into my international travel suitcase since I knew we would be staying active throughout the trip to Norway. The material is unbelievably smooth and soft, and I was impressed with how effectively it wicked away sweat when I wore it to the airport and on a gorgeous hike in Ballstad. Currently on sale for $38 in pewter, you won’t want to wait too long to shop since sizes are already limited. Otherwise, you can shop it full-price in five other beautiful shades. Halo Essential Wide-leg Pants Vuori $108 at Vuoriclothing.com They may not be on sale, but trust me when I say that these wide-leg sweatpants were the MVP of my trip, and continue to be one of the most-worn items in my closet since returning to New York. The fabric feels much like I imagine a cloud would feel against my skin, while the mid-rise cut and adjustable waistband make these super comfortable for flights without worry of tight material digging into my skin. They’re flattering, moisture-wicking, and — most importantly — feel like pajamas that still look stylish in the airport. Plus, shoppers have their choice between short, regular, and long lengths, so you won’t have excess fabric dragging on the ground. Vuori AllTheFeels Tank Vuori $74 at Vuoriclothing.com I wasn’t at all surprised when I learned that this tank top was a best-seller on Vuori’s site — after all, it paired well with everything in my suitcase, was endlessly comfortable, and also felt incredibly supportive. Cropped to sit just above my belly button, this tank was the versatile basic I needed for layering while in Norway. I styled it beneath an itchy sweater and on its own during a toasty flight, but my favorite way to wear it was with the Halo Essential Wide-leg Pants. While it’s not on sale, the stretchy, decadently soft fabric and fit make it well worth the price. Evolve Leggings Vuori $118 at Vuoriclothing.com Featuring a cropped cut and the same silky-smooth material as the matching Evolve Bra, these leggings were my go-to choice for a steep hike in the mountains of Norway, and they kept me cozy and dry the entire way — even after getting stuck in a hail storm. I adore the added coverage thanks to a high-waisted fit, and the fabric is also designed with generous stretch so I don’t feel squeezed or restricted. These leggings have even earned an impressive 4.3-star rating on the site. Falls Jumpsuit Vuori $118 $94 at Vuoriclothing.com There’s no denying it: Jumpsuits are one of the most packable, comfy, and wearable pieces you can bring with you on any vacation, and the Falls Jumpsuit would have made the perfect addition to my Norway packing list. Now on sale for $94, this casual piece is ideal for long travel days, tying the look of a henley tank and wide-leg pants together into one wearable outfit. The fabric is moisture-wicking, stretchy, and breathable, and it even features anti-odor properties which are a must for me when traveling. Greenwich Boucle Jacket Vuori $228 $136 at Vuoriclothing.com This beautiful jacket has been on my “to buy” list for months, so I was thrilled to find it’s currently on sale for nearly 50 percent off, and just in time for the colder weather. Effectively marrying a cozy cardigan with a casual jacket, this insulated coat is great for transitioning between seasons — and it’s especially useful for travel since it’s easy to slip on and off in a hurry. The slightly oversized fit will remain comfortable when worn over chunkier sweaters, plus, deep front pockets will keep my hands warm while sightseeing in cold weather. Aston Rib Pants Vuori $108 $86 at Vuoriclothing.com If there’s one article of clothing I can’t seem to get enough of, it’s a good pair of sweatpants. So, when I saw that these sleek, ribbed pants were now on sale for $86, I couldn’t help but wish I had them in my suitcase during my last trip. The high-rise fit is tailored around the waist and hips before flowing down the rest of the leg, so you’ll feel cozy and unencumbered by rigid fabric during long-haul flights. But while they’re great for lounging, the classic cut is also stylish enough to be dressed up for a day out on the town, and I’m sure I would get plenty of wear out of them at any vacation destination. Hudson Insulated Crop Vest Vuori $168 $134 at Vuoriclothing.com I’m declaring that vests are in this season, and this puffer style will look incredible over a jumpsuit, paired with sweatpants, or even aprés ski as we inch closer to the wintertime. Luckily, it’s now on sale for more than $30 off, so I’ll have no qualms adding it to my cart before my next trip home to New Hampshire. The exterior is water-resistant and features a subtle sheen, while the interior is insulated with the brand’s Primaloft Thermoplume lining for a warm, cozy fit. Did I mention it has a perfect, five-star rating average on the site? Granite Cropped Hoodie Vuori $128 $77 at Vuoriclothing.com Nothing complements a good travel outfit quite like a breathable sweatshirt, and I especially love that this cropped hoodie features a zipper all the way down the front, making it easy to slide on and off while rushing through airport security or acclimating to my flight’s temperature. Currently on sale for $77 in sizes ranging from XS to XL, this is an elevated wardrobe staple that you’ll be looking for excuses to wear this fall. The cropped hem pairs nicely with high-waisted sweats, and it’s now available in a deep plum or heathered gray. Hudson Insulated Jacket Vuori $248 $124 at Vuoriclothing.com It’s nearly time to break out my heavier jackets, but seeing as this puffer is now on sale for a staggering 50 percent off, I may just have to snatch it up before I travel north from New York City to New Hampshire for the holidays. The stunning blush shade is what first caught my eye, but I’m also enamored by the cropped cut and thermal lining to keep me thoroughly insulated while spending time outside this fall and winter. And while at first glance you might think that puffers aren’t the ideal style to pack while traveling, its medium weight will make for a cozy blanket on long flights. Bayview Thermal Hoodie Vuori $128 $77 at Vuoriclothing.com At this point, my loungewear collection is bordering on being out of control, but I don’t know how I could possibly travel without this thermal hoodie as my new go-to airport layer. The snap-button detailing down the front of this sweatshirt is both functional and stylish, and it even comes fitted with a hood — which I’ve learned I love as a barrier between my head and airplane seats. The waffle fabric will be soft and gentle against my skin, and I can trust that the moisture-wicking material won’t cause me to sweat excessively while flying. Love a great deal?
