But for travelers with kids who have to book multiple tickets, airfare can get very expensive, very fast. Most airlines require travelers to purchase a separate ticket for their kids as soon as they turn 2, however Frontier takes a different approach. Frontier Airlines announced a Kids Fly Free promotion in January that includes any child age 14 or younger who was traveling with a parent. The promotion initially ended mid-August, but Frontier just announced an extension of the promotion for flights through mid-November. To qualify for the Kids Fly Free promotion, travelers must first sign up to be a Discount Den member, which costs $59.99 a year. The membership not only lets kids 14 or under fly free on certain dates, but also gives travelers access to Frontier’s lowest prices – The Points Guy reports most members save $10 per person, per direction – and schedule extensions before non-members. There are only select dates when the Kids Fly Free promotion is valid, and the offer is usually only available mid-week when fares are cheaper (think Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Below is a list of all the Kids Fly Free dates per Frontier’s website: April 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30May 1, 4, 7, 8, 11, 14, 15, 18, 21, 22, 29June 1, 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26July 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30Aug. 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28Sept. 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25Oct. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30Nov. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19
