TikTok Made These Podiatrist-approved Sneakers Famous — and They're on Sale Right Now

They sold out in days, but we found a secret stock on Amazon.

Orthopedic sneakers are the TikTok trend no one saw coming. Glowing reviews of comfy walking shoes are ubiquitous on the app, and one of those shoes is the Madison Lace style by none other than the podiatrist-recommended brand Dr. Scholl’s.

The sneakers went viral in late March, when Harley Blair (@hellionharls) recommended them in a TikTok that has so far racked up more than 2 million views. The shoes sold out within a few days of the video being posted, and although the exact color featured is now available only for pre-order, we found the same Madison Lace kicks on Amazon — and for 30 percent off, to boot.

“I bet when I say that they’re Dr. Scholl’s you’re like ‘oh, she’s got on some nanny shoes,’” Blair says in the video, featuring the white nylon color, which has a chunky tan sole, a navy blue stitched chevron accent, and a pop of coral color on the heel. Those who didn’t run to buy the sneakers commented that they’ve already long been fans of the orthopedic shoe brand, with one writing that they’ve “been gatekeeping the good Dr. for years."

"I wore Dr. Scholl's sneakers to Disney and I was the only one not complaining about my feet hurting," another wrote. That the shoes sold out almost immediately proves that so-called “nanny shoes” are in.

Dr. Scholl’s has made the white nylon color available in its online shop for pre-order, set to ship on June 19. But if you just can’t wait, we found more Madison Lace styles on Amazon. They’re vegan-friendly, with a faux leather upper and lining made partially from recycled plastic bottles. They’re a lace-up version of the fan-favorite slip-on Madison sneaker that also has more than 21,000 ratings on Amazon.

“These shoes are my new best friends,” one reviewer wrote. “I just wish I could get these in every color because I want to wear nothing else.” They’re currently available in eight colorways on Amazon, and right now, they’re on sale for $70 — down from $100.
