Mark & Graham travel products are constantly earning top scores in the plethora of product testing we do here at Travel + Leisure. The high-quality materials and superior organizational features are usually the most notable features from the brand, but we love the unique personalization options, too.

Perfect for wedding gifts, birthday presents, or picking out a little something special for yourself, the brand carries suitcases, purses, passport covers, jewelry cases, and more, with the option to monogram most items for an extra fee (or even for free in some cases). We tested several items from the brand, and our favorites include luggage pieces and travel accessories that make any trip much more efficient and stylish.

Why We Love It
  • The bag has expandable corners to add more or less space as needed.

What to Consider
  • The straps could be more comfortable.

Spacious and stylish, this canvas weekender bag makes it easy to pack for a getaway. It has a wide top opening so you can see every inch of the interior, which is helpful for organizing items in the main compartment, plus two zippered pockets. Whether packing jackets or several pairs of shoes, the large duffel bag can accommodate a range of items for all-season travel. The cotton canvas material feels durable and flexible, and we love that the bag has metal feet on the bottom to distance it from the floor. The leather-accented tote and shoulder straps could be a bit more comfortable, but it’s by no means a deal breaker.

Why We Love It
  • It's stylish, lightweight, and incredibly spacious.

What to Consider
  • Besides a separate shoe compartment, the bag doesn't have any pockets.

"You couldn't ask for more room in a duffel bag." That's what senior editor Jasmine Grant said as she tested the Terminal 1 Checked Rolling Duffle Bag in our New York City lab. At 28 by 12.5 by 6 inches, this bag is enormous. The spacious main compartment was able to fit several days worth of clothes and gear, while the zippered shoe compartment on top of the bag also had room to spare. While the bag lacked any organizational features beyond the shoe compartment, we didn't mind that since the bag is structured and zips opens wide enough to see everything inside easily. Despite its size, the bag remained lightweight and easy to wheel when fully packed, and all zippers ran smoothly both when empty and full. The duffel comes in black and navy, both of which looks sleek and stylish with the gold hardware.

Why We Love It
  • It’s stylish and can fit underneath an airplane seat when packed full.

What to Consider
  • The puffer material might not be best for warmer seasons.

This packable puffer tote is a cold-weather staple since it’s made out of the same material as a winter jacket. It’s exceptionally lightweight and stylish, which makes it the perfect personal item as well as an ideal option when going to the gym, taking a road trip, or even for everyday use. The tote folds into a carrying case and, because it’s made with puffer material, we found that it conveniently doubles as a travel pillow if needed. Plus, the tote has various other practical features like a 16-inch laptop compartment and tons of slip and zippered pockets for extra storage.

Why We Love It
  • This tote has a zipper feature that expands by an impressive six inches.

What to Consider
  • It doesn't have many organizational features.

We've tested plenty of expandable luggage pieces, but none that expand quite as much as the Terminal 1 Expandable Travel Tote. This bag lengthens vertically by a total of six inches when you unzip it. As we tested it out, we felt like it was two bags in one: a more compact bag for shorter trips or everyday use, and also a larger, weekender-size bag for more substantial travel. While this bag doesn't have a ton of organizational features (just one zip pocket and one slip pocket internally), we didn't really mind because we were able to fit plenty of clothes, shoes, and a toiletry bag in the spacious main compartment. We also loved that this lightweight bag has two different straps for carrying, as well as trolley strap to attach it to larger wheeled luggage.

Why We Love It
  • It's very spacious and toiletries stay put thanks to pockets and the durable hardside shell.

What to Consider
  • The zippers take more time around the corners of the bag.

When we tested train cases, we found this one to be so spacious that there was still room to spare after packing our shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair spray, makeup, deodorant, and hairbrush. We loved that there are several interior pockets throughout the case to keep things from rolling around and breaking in transit (though we wouldn't be too worried if that were to happen, because the interior fabric is easy to wipe clean). After tossing it around in testing, we discovered the hardside shell doesn't easily scratch or dent, and it keeps everything inside safe, too. The leather top handle feels nice to grab onto, and the option to monogram the case was the icing on the cake for us. The one small issue we had is that we couldn't open it as quickly as we instinctually wanted to because the zippers significantly slow down around the corners.

Why We Love It
  • It has plenty of spots for technology and cords, and it’s small enough to fit in a purse.

What to Consider
  • The overall case is slim so it can’t accommodate bulkier items.

Traveling with tech gadgets, such as a digital translator, and cords can be a pain so this organizer is perfect for keeping everything in one spot and untangled. The zippered clutch has plenty of pockets, including two sleeves for a tablet and an eReader, several credit card slots, various slip pockets for earbuds, and two snap closures for cords. The organizer has a smooth zipper closure that keeps all of the items safely tucked away, and it’s easy to pull out the case before placing a bag in the overhead bin. However, because it’s on the slimmer side, you won’t be able to fit thick items in it like an iPad with a keyboard case or a book into this organizer.

Why We Love It
  • It’s loaded with pockets for organization and it can qualify as a carry-on.

What to Consider
  • The zippers may snag a bit.

This garment bag from Mark & Graham earned perfect ratings after a series of trials and was the best one we tested overall. We were able to fit a suit, two dresses, several pairs of shoes, and other accessories into the bag, plus it folds up easily to keep all the items in place during a trip. There are various slip and zippered compartments to store shoes and accessories, and the hanger hook and zippered garment bag will protect clothing to keep it separate from other packed items. Even when it’s full, it’s small enough to count as a carry-on for most airlines, so you can bring it right onboard. We did notice that the zippers may snag a bit after several months of use, but you can use wax, dish soap, or another lubricant to help reduce this issue.

Why We Love It
  • There are tons of colorways and patterns to choose.

What to Consider
  • The box can’t fit bigger pieces of jewelry like watches.

Similar to the tech case above, the brand’s jewelry box won us over during testing for having superior organization compared to others we tried. The jewelry case has two main compartments with a mirrored divider, so you’ll always be able to see where to place your jewelry on the go. The bottom compartment features eight ring pillows and four divided compartments for earrings, bracelets, and more. For even more storage, the top section boasts three necklace clasps and a slip pocket, which means you’ll basically never run out of space for jewelry whether your trip is short or long. Thanks to all of the secure pockets and compartments, all of the jewelry remained in place even after we shook it like a salad during testing.

The Details: 4.5 X 4.5 X 2.25 inches | Pebbled vegan leather

Why We Love It
  • It has a clamshell design so both sides of the pouch open flat to see the contents of the bag clearly.

What to Consider
  • The liner can get caught in the zipper easily.

This versatile travel pouch functions as a do-it-all travel bag thanks to its minimalist design. The pouch can serve as a makeup bag, a cosmetic case, or you can use it to store small necessities like phone chargers, earbuds, passports, and more. Our favorite part of the bag is that the zipper goes down the sides of the bag so it opens up nearly flat, which makes it easy to see all the contents packed inside. Made with vegan leather, the pouch offers a simple and elegant look with gold hardware, and it comes in seven different colors.

Our Testing Process

We test hundreds of products every year at T+L, and Mark & Graham luggage and accessories are constantly impressing us with superb organizational features and high-quality materials. In our New York City lab, we tested the Mark & Graham pieces on this list by packing them full, wheeling them through obstacle courses, placing them under seats and in overhead bins on our to-scale airplane set, shoving them off counters, and even whacking them with baseball bats to mimic the feel of rough travel. Between our lab and real-world testing, we tried each product for several months (or longer) to report back on the quality, functionality, and durability of each item. From commuting to the office to traveling by air, we used the products in a variety of settings to provide thorough notes for recommending the best Mark & Graham items.

Tips for Buying Mark & Graham Products

Pick the best product for your needs

Mark & Graham boasts a massive selection of luggage, accessories, home goods, sports equipment, and more, so it’s important to get the item that best matches your intended use. We tested and loved just a few of the brand’s best-selling items but there are plenty of other products that Mark & Graham carries. For traveling with your furry friend, the Buddy Pet Carrier is perfect for transporting your dog, or be sure to check out the stylish Terminal 1 Carry-on if you’re in search of a suitcase. There are tons of options for purses and handbags, too, like the practical Classic Leather Phone Crossbody Bag.

Consider organization features

Keep in mind that some products from Mark & Graham will be better than others for organization. The beach bags and packable totes don’t feature as many pockets for storage, but boast a large capacity and the ability to pack down easily. Other items like garment bags and tech cases are designed with a plethora of storage solutions, so if you’re on the hunt for organizational features, opt for a product that is specifically made for sorting items for travel.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where can I buy Mark and Graham products?

For the widest selection of products, the Mark & Graham website is your best bet for browsing thousands of products in every colorway and personalization option possible. Pottery Barn also carries some items from the brand, but you’ll miss out on the possibility of getting the products monogrammed with initials.

  • Can I personalize all Mark and Graham products?

Besides the organizational features, we also love that almost every single Mark & Graham item can be personalized for an added fee or sometimes even for free. Depending on the material of the product, there are monogramming options through foil debossing, engraving, vinyl decals, embroidery, laser-etching, and hand-stamping. It costs around $12.50 for monogramming with options ranging from single initials to text up to 12 characters, but there are tons of products that have the option for free customization instead.
